Studio Alexine Sammut explores how materials, craft, and context shape the spaces and objects we inhabit. Working between Berlin and Malta, Alexine designs interiors and furniture that blur the line between art and function, tailoring each project to the character of its site and the personality of its users. The studio’s projects range from private homes and bespoke furniture to exhibition design and cultural initiatives.
Alexine gained international experience with artists and architects including Alicja Kwade, Barkow Leibinger, Brandlhuber+, June14, and Sam Chermayeff Office, contributing to major projects and exhibitions in Venice, New York, and Melbourne. Most recently, she was Program Manager for the Experimental Fellowship at Bauhaus Earth, supporting emerging practitioners in regenerative and circular design methods. She also teaches and leads workshops at institutions including TU Berlin, Iowa State University, the University of Malta, and currently directs a Master Studio at DIA Dessau.
Her practice is grounded in material investigation and collaborative making, producing spaces and objects that feel playful, purposeful, and alive.
